C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (QUANTITATIVE)

Description

The C-reactive protein (CRP) test is a blood test. CRP is a protein from the Liver and increases inflammatory conditions of the body. A high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) test is also available which is more sensitive as it can detect slight increases within the normal range of standard CRP levels. The hs-CRP test can be used to determine the risk of developing coronary artery disease. Lab results are usually ready the same day.
