Description

Lipid profiles are blood tests used for risk assessment of cardiovascular disease. The different kinds of cholesterol and other fats in the blood are together called lipids. A fasting lipid profile (10 to 12 hours) is recommended to ensure the most precise lipid assessment, specifically triglycerides. Lab results are usually ready the same day.
